Inside Outside Lands | East Bay Express | Cover Story [CLIP]

This story comes in at, like, 5,000 words or ten pages, single-spaced, 12 font. What a beast. My files on APE had their own "Table of Contents". ... It reminds me of what Dr. Jones once said about 99 percent of archaeology being done in the library. You wouldn't know it from reading it. It works because it uses a lot of AAJ tricks like scene-by-scene construction, dialog, status symbols, recreation, and third-person omniscient, combined with a bunch of documents digging and phone interviews. This is a personal highlight of 2008. East Bay Express | News | Inside Outside Lands | 08.13.08
